Deadmau5 – Deer Bus

Sometimes I just need a little validation for my tastes. I love electronic music. It’s the rare even when meet someone in this neck of the woods who has a genuine interest in the genre (or any dance music that’s not prominent on the radio stations here). And I mean interest. Not just, “Oh, I love Daft Punk” (of course they do; everyone should), but someone who spends a great deal of time listening to a lot of electronic artists.

At the Halloween party I went to last night I was in charge of the music (went really well until the hostesses obnoxious little 15 year old sister told me to play some “dancing music” and was more rude and snotty about it than usual**. Not everyone was as unreceptive, however: one guy at the party came as Thomas Bangalter and another as Deadmau5. The three of us bonded pretty quickly.

So I guess that fairly pointless little story is the tie-in I needed to present tonight’s song, Deadmau5’ Deer Bus (or should that be Deadmau5’s? I mean the 5 is supposed to stand in for an S so… agh, not important). Enjoy, and may you all have a Happy Halloween, Soulful Samhain, and… no tummy aches. I for one shall need my stomach pumped from all the Krabby Patties I’m going to eat (I hate Spongebob but that is just a good candy).

**It’s probaby worth mentioning that her and her friends which consists of a “sexy” sailor, a “sexy” FBI “Fabulous. Beautiful. Intelligent” Agent, a “sexy” bumblebee and about 4 redneck men who decided to come as (drumroll please) cowboys were the only people who didn’t enjoy the music.
