This Seems Kinda Wrong of the Day: The principal of Brookside Elementary in Gastonia, North Carolina, reportedly phoned the mother of a 9-year-old boy last week to tell her that her son had been suspended for “sexual harassment.”
His alleged crime? Telling a teacher he thought she was “cute.”
“It’s not like he went up to the woman and tried to grab her or touch her in a sexual way,” Chiquita Lockett told WSOC-TV, “So why would he be suspended for two days?”
This is just the latest in what is fast becoming a string of bizarre incidents involving little boys accused of sexual harassment.
In South Boston, a 7-year-old was being investigated for kicking a classmate in the groin. Tynan Elementary School accused the kid of sexually harassing the other student.
The boy’s mother, Tasha Lynch, told the Boston Globe her son was being chocked and was merely trying to defend himself. “I think my kid was right to fight back,” said Lynch. “He wasn’t doing anything except protecting himself.”
The school has so far refused to comment on the sexual harassment classification.

Things have gotten very stupid, this is so not an issue, this boy is being railroaded and should not have been punished
