B.A.D. Streaming at Absolute Punk; “Vice” Video Premieres at ARTISTdirect; “Resurrection” Streams at Substream; “Teeth” Streams at Revolver
Enterprising Long Island foursome Love, Robot, who describe their hook-filled, gritty and unforgettable music as “black pop,” have released their new album B.A.D. today, June 24. The album is currently streaming in full at Absolute Punk. Listen to it here.
Love, Robot are an ambitious quartet of self-starters who don’t pay lip service to the concept of DIY simply because they are too busy being DIY; that is, they are “doing” instead of “saying.” They do everything themselves – from releasing their music to creating their album art to making their videos to designing their merch to conceptualizing photo shoots.
In the course of a year, Love, Robot have been turning heads and grabbing ears with their darkly-tinted alt rock, which is laced with pop melodies and harmonies and slices with a razor-sharp, hard rock edge. The video for their song “Fire Escape” received MTV and VH1 airplay late last year, as well.
In advance of the release of B.A.D., the band debuted the new song “Resurrection” via Substream and shared their song “Teeth” on Revolver. Their video for “Vice” premiered on ARTISTdirect, as well.
Additionally, singer/guitarist Alexa San Roman penned a soon-to-be-published personal essay for the love + relationship site YourTango, revealing how her music has been a safe haven since coming out.
Love, Robot are: Alexa San Roman (vocals/guitars), Anthony Rega (drums), Nicholas Starrantino (vocals/bass) and Dane Petersen (vocals/guitars).
B.A.D. is available for purchase here. Connect with Love, Robot on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and via their official website.
