Xombiewoof Magazine’s Official Stand on the YouTube “Pay To Play” Issue

As some of you may know, YouTube is planning to start a new Music Video Service that will offer A vast selection of Music videos without commercial interruption and with exclusive content not available on their free internet site.

However, this will begin a purge of Independent artist and Independent record Label Videos from said artists and Labels that do not join this program by signing contracts that will limit content and have charges that are said to be unfair and favors larger labels. This plan will effectively shut out many artists and their videos that will not be seen globally, or not at all.

Xombiewoof Magazine feels this is the beginning of an Internet Music “Pay to Play” which will be the crushing blow that may topple many artists that rely on social media to share their Music, This is a Form of Censorship. Where it does not limit the freedom of speech, it does limit or remove your choice of what to see, hear or only have access to what They Want You To See of Hear!

Starting July 1st, 2014 Xombiewoof Magazine will, until YouTube Decides to reverse their decision or until artists can join their programs, offer FREE Video Hosting to Unsigned artists and small independent labels that deserve to be seen and heard.
