Spending many hours in college listening to anything that inspired him, he started putting a pen to paper. Kenny taught himself to play on a borrowed, nylon strung guitar and shortly after found himself with a few notebooks full of scribbles.
By doing so, Kenny Taylor found his musical voice that is a blend of Pop/Americana with an acoustic modern “guitar” rock sound. After moving to California, Kenny decided to make his dream a reality and focused on his music career. He started booking gigs all over the San Luis Obispo County as a solo artist, but then invited others to play with him, at which point the Kenny Taylor Band was formed.
Their debut album, “Little but Live,” recently released on iTunes, was recorded at the Nautical Bean Coffee House in San Luis Obispo. The band and the music, described by critics as “ever-growing and evolving” now features an additional guitarist, bassist, percussionist and saxophonist to amplify Kenny’s original music with high energy and depth.
Now with local success and a growing reputation in the music world, The Kenny Taylor Band can now be seen in Los Angeles, booking gigs at The Mint and more venues to come that offer the best music and entertainment available.
