the NMS Artist on the Verge Class of 2015

Later this month, New Music
Seminar returns to New York City with its
annual New Music
Nights Festival
! Kicking off Sunday, June 21st
with the Opening Night Red Carpet
Event at Webster Hall, attendees will be
treated to a special headlining performance by Atlantic Records performing
artist, Melanie Martinez. Martinez is best known from her stint on season 3 of
The Voice, where her raspy, signature sound carried her to the top 6. Since then
she’s been working on original music and her wildly dramatic single, “Dollhouse,” landed at
the top of the Billboard charts. To add to the Opening Night excitement, guests
will get a taste of some of the best up and coming acts from the Artist on The
Verge Top 3 Showcase featuring Belmont
Lights, Fictionist, and Grace Weber and
in the Marlin Room the rising stars; Alessia Cara (Def Jam), Bad Veins,
and Jay Stolar. The following two nights will be filled with
performances from NMS’ A&R Committees carefully curated Artist
on the Verge (AOV) Top 100
list at iconic
venues DROM, Cake Shop, The Delancey, and Pianos.

This year there will be a
lottery for free wristbands for The New Music Nights Festival. Wristband holders
will have access to the Opening Night Party and official NMS music showcases
throughout the Lower East Side. To apply for your FREE wristband to

The New Music Seminar is the
world’s most influential Music Business convention, led by the voices that
disrupt the conventional, tackle key issues, and provide a stage for
trailblazing artists to shine. NMS is the place to network, engage, and discuss
the future of the art and business of music.

From 1980-1994, NMS established
itself as the most influential Music Business Conference of its time. In 2009,
NMS was revived to convene the visionaries and industry leaders – paving a way
to move past the dying record business. After 12 years of cleansing decline, we
have a new attitude; a new optimism, a clear path to a bigger, more engaged,
more inclusive, more sustainable music ecosystem.

The New Music Seminar is perfect
for anyone looking to further their career in any and all facets of the music
business. Recording Companies, Music Publishers, Music Technologies, Managers,
Agents, Artists, Songwriters, Producers, and artist & label services from
around the world come together each June in New York City to cross-pollinate,
share ideas, and create new opportunities.
