Based out Seattle, WA and founded in 2013 by longtime music industry executive John Frazier (Tooth & Nail / Solid State, Drive-Thru Records), the diverse roster currently consists of over 15 bands from around the world, within a variety of genres – indie rock, punk, post-rock, and beyond.

At Spartan, music is our life. Founded in Seattle, WA in 2013 as a grassroots, boutique label, we’re 100% fueled by a passion for our artists and their music. Our goal is to help artists create and share their art – and through that process, we hope to help facilitate “moments” that transcend everything that divides us. We believe in the power of music to move us — to inspire and change lives. With a current roster of over 15 bands from around the world, our artists encompass a wide variety of genres from indie rock to post-rock to noisepunk and everywhere in between. We’re proud to celebrate everywhere we’ve been and everywhere we’re going with our 30th official release, a new 20-track label sampler. About Spartan Records:

Spartan Records is an independent record label located in Seattle, WA founded by John T. Frazier. Prior to taking Spartan full-time in early 2013, Frazier directed marketing efforts at Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records and played an important role in the careers of bands like Underoath, Anberlin, mewithoutYou, As Cities Burn, Norma Jean, and Mae to name a few. Prior to that, he headed up marketing at Drive-Thru Records and worked with bands like The Starting Line, Finch, New Found Glory, and Something Corporate. He started his career at crank! A RECORD COMPANY working with bands like Mineral, the Gloria Record, and others.

Currently home to Schematic, Shy, Low, Ourlives, NYVES, Barren Womb, Secret Stuff, and many others, our goal is to help artists create and share their art – and through that process, we hope to help facilitate “moments” that transcend everything that divides us.
