English Kills are made up of Brittany “Brita” Turner and Lloyd Lowe Jr., The multi talented duo fuse electronic/acoustic sounds to create a modern blend of trip hop and singer songwriter styles that are provocative and post-modern. In addition to performing, the pair write, produce and compose all of their music, resulting in a genuine sound and unique sound.

Influenced by first generation trip-hop acts such as Portishead, Massive Attack and Tricky, combined with the striking avant-garde aesthetic of Bjork and David Bowie, English Kills create chord progressions reminiscent of early electro-pop genres and the female-centric vocals that echo the spirit of female icons such as Kate Bush and Debbie Harry. The eclectic collaboration of artistic influence reverberates throughout the band’s sound, adding innovative and progressive depth to their music that makes track after track follow you around in your head all day.
