What began as the musical project of Tyler Agnew, the creator behind Everyday Life and Blue Photos, is Busy Beds — an utterly beautiful and ethereal sound with powerful female vocals and theatrical nuances. Agnew’s new EP, The Internet is the Real World, steps away from the usual psychedelic, dream pop sound and veers in a completely new direction.

The three-track EP creates a dreamy, psych-pop soundscape similar to the beats of Toro y Moi. The last track, “Winter Beach (In Summer), 1972” creates a flaming hot setting but with icy undertones, hence a winter beach during the summer. “Second Modern” is also intriguing in that it contrasts psychedelic with pop.
