Road Trip With The American Weather
The American Weather is a three piece rock band hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada. Taking influence from the greats of old and combining it with modern sensibilities, this band is a new voice in rock n’ roll music for today’s generation.
Frontman and guitarist Anthony Krantz brings lyricism and songwriting prowess well beyond his years to the table, showcased by a powerhouse of a rhythm section featuring bassist Jaz Kelso and Aaron Golubic on drums. With their unique and organic brand of rock n roll, The American Weather is determined to make an impact on today’s music scene.
Listening to their most recent EP “Dead Dog”, I feel they sell themselves a bit short; they have more than just a rock band thing going on, more of an ode to the artists that came before, mixing a bit of bluesy, folky soul with rock and ballad influences.
Their music is the modern Americana, as if you were to take a road trip, leaving the warm sensibility of a safe and dullard existence to seek out your fortune as a real human being with emotions of fire guiding your car with what little gas you have left, and instead of a spare you have a brand new pair or athletic shoes which may get you farther if you have the courage. I specifically am very fond of From a Wooden Floor, this song has merit, meat and potatoes, it’s got a fueling realism to it and you know the emotions connected with the verses so well, followed by Satisfy You as yet another should be hit, there is sarcasm in it, but also just a bit of hope that the message hits home.
Dead Dog is very much alive and The American Weather have driven it home in the back of their pick up, bound and gagged, but smiling.

The American Weather takes risks with their songwriting and arrangements. The songs are interesting and 3 dimensional. They have a young, raw energy that is vital to the local scene today. Vegas needs a bus driver. The American Weather could do the job.
