It’s the second post of the day and how better to wrap up today’s blogging than to talk about a bit of musical class which is known as The Jam.
The Jam are a Mod (revolutionary social class which rode scooters on Brighton Beach) band which were formed in 1972 consisting of Paul Weller, Steve Brookes, Rick Buckler, Dave Waller and Bruce Foxton.
The genius behind this is none other than Paul Wellerwho managed to create a band which combined the swing of the Beatles with their own council house style, The Jam enjoyed ten years of being the band responsible for future talents in the UK. They prided themselves on explicit lyrics relatable to council house kids whilst upholding their image which was strictly smart suits and polished shoes.
