Blue Helix release their new single “Runaways”
This past January Blue Helix are finalizing the production of their first high-end music video for one of the songs from the album Tale of Two Halves called “Aliens”.
Blue Helix, a four-piece independent rock band based out of Washington State and formed in 2008. Winners of the 2015 Puget Sound Battle of the Bands, Blue Helix plays regular gigs in Washington and recently performed live at KGRG 89.9 FM.
Their music has been as a perfect blend of melodic rock and powerful heavy grunge, deeply influenced by the 90’s Seattle movement and various remarkable rock bands like Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots and the Smashing Pumpkins. However I feel they also have a strong progressive feel that is reminiscent of the earlier works of RUSH, King Crimson and Camel.
Blue Helix latest album Tale of Two Halves presents a unique and eclectic mix of song-writing with a vast range of instruments including acoustic guitars, violins, piano and modern electric guitar sounds.
