Heel are an emerging force of a live act, whose sheer ambition is matched only by their workhorse attitude.
The mounting success of Heel stems from their unrelenting ability to go from strength to strength with each subsequent release. The summer of 2014 saw the release of their second Justin Hill produced EP, “Stranger Just The Same”, which was launched in conjunction with a eight city UK tour.
Amidst fervent coverage from the blog-o-sphere and extended runs for the EP`s final single “Gone” on Scuzz TV and Kerrang, Heel decided to start production on their debut album. In typical Heel fashion, the band decided to try something different by flying out to Japan`s legendary Geimori studio in Sapporo Japan. Production duties were handled by guitarist Daniel and vocalist Margarita. The culmination of this trip saw the band completing their second tour of Japan before returning to the UK.
Heel are now gearing up for the release of their spectacular debut album titled ‘The Parts We Save” with lead single “An Apology” ready for release December 11th. Mixed by Ben Grosse and Paul Pavao (Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Depeche Mode, Ben Folds, Thirty Seconds to Mars, etc.) and Mastered by Tom Baker (Beastie Boys, Deftones, David Bowie, B.B. King), the album is a multi-layered experience fusing powerful songwriting, rapturous harmony, and soaring guitar work that defies genre pigeonholing.
‘Heel are definitely on their way to achieving their goal, being appreciated just because they make good music – 5/5’
Hit The Floor
‘A great little EP from a band who could do very nicely for themselves – 8/10’

‘We’re gonna be keeping our eye on this quartet because their debut album looks set to be very special- 8/10’

On July 16 2016, Heel will be performing live at Pandora-Fest, the very first female-positive Music Festival.
At Dun-Carron, the Medieval Fort in the Carron Valley of Scotland, the power of women in music, if not the goddess herself will take festival goers to new heights in profound musical talent. In its debut year, Pandora Fest aims to celebrate women artists of all genres and give them a larger platform in the festival scene.
Pandora-Fest will be the only women’s music festival in Scotland. Boasting an impressive multi-genre roster of both Scottish and International artists, the event will showcase rock, dance, folk and world music, among other genres. Of course, we must stress – this isn’t a women-only event and is family friendly. The festival puts women’s musicianship center stage, bands are composed of both sexes, and you will see guys in the bands and in the audience but all bands are women lead and are perfectly blended in skill and quality of musical prowess.
Why the title Pandora-Fest, legend states that Pandora was entrusted to care for a small chest, told never to open it, she was a girl who did what she wasn’t supposed to do, she broke the rules, opened a box and released all the trouble, demons, dangers and hate into the world, she tried to reseal the chest, but it was too late, however the last to leave the chest was Hope, Faith, Joy and Love. Since then Women have been the guardians of said emotions, and today, it is a driving force in Women’s Music.
