A Canberra music teacher has taken a novel approach to piano practice by having her young students put on a concert for the elderly residents of a retirement home.
Music thanatology, a subset of palliative care, uses harp at a patient’s bedside, most often as they are dying. Werner bases the music off of the patient’s breathing and other physiological changes.
