Self-Proclaimed “Groovalutionary” ellee ven Makes Return to Los Angeles

Appearing with Popular SoCal Reggae Band, Urban Dread

At the LIGHTHOUSE CAFE, Hermosa Beach on Thursday, September 8th

SoCal native ellee ven makes her return to her hometown L.A., when the Hip-Hop artist performs at the famous Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, Thursday September 8.

“I’m excited to be doing a show back where it all began and perhaps most exciting is that I’ll be playing with my favorite local reggae group Urban Dread,” says ven. “A dance fest is guaranteed. My band (the amazing Tony Lee and the super-jammin’ Jody Giachello) will be joined by Ohio-based Freekbass who is ridiculously funky. And of course, the amazing Prodéje will be there”. She adds, “My California people are really the reason I got into and have loved my music.”

Presently based in Lexington, Kentucky, ellee ven is the creator and producer of the yearly music/art/fashion extravaganza, “Give into the Groove”, which raises monies each year for numerous Lexington charities, now in its thirteenth year. ven also created TheVirtualQuilt.com, a free digital platform where supporters can upload images of their original artwork for inclusion in an online exhibit and interactive community experience to help increase awareness about local charities. “I call myself groovalutionary because my music and my mission are more about doing the things that I believe embody my best self. Sometimes that means writing and jamming and many times that means using my experience to draw attention to those less fortunate.”

Hot Sauce Records recently received an Emmy nod, via their sponsorship of the “MusicWorks” segment produced by Kyle Lake and Prosper Media Group, Inc for the kNOwMORE Nonprofits Television Series at the 2016 52nd Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards. ellee ven’s label, Hot Sauce Records, just released two new songs by ven and rapper Prodéje: “Allright” and “Sun Up.” Both tracks will be available digitally on iTunes and at elleeven.com.
