Join us for an 11/11 Super Set where East Meets West for a night of Electro pop and soulful rock stylings. Music starts promptly at 8:30pm featuring ellee ven plus LV and the Love Dogs, at The Six.
ellee ven calls her music “groovetonics”: it makes you move and lifts your mood. ellee ven just released a video called Underwater via her independent label Hot Sauce Records. “Underwater” is set to a mesmerizing drum and bass track, with black-and-white, sensual imagery throughout the three-minute and sixteen-second track. Dancing blindfolded, sitting on a beach by the ocean, and in a tango with a mismatched lover left to sink.
This week ellee ven proudly accepted an award from LexArts on National Philanthropy Day 2016 in her new hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. ellee ven is the creator and producer of the yearly music/art/fashion extravaganza, “Give Into The Groove,” which raises monies each year for numerous Lexington charities, now in its thirteenth year. ven created TheVirtualQuilt.com, a free digital platform where supporters can upload images of their original artwork for inclusion in an on-line exhibit and interactive community experience to help increase awareness about local charities.
Performing in ellee ven’s band for this show: Freekbass, who has played and recorded with, among others, Bootsy Collins, Mike Gordon (Phish), and Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic, Rolling Stones); rapper Prodeje (SCC); guitarist Antony Lee; and drummer, Jody Giachello.
