Kenley Collins, world-renowned fashion designer, television star, singer-songwriter, is releasing her first single from her upcoming album, Belle Black, on Lanark Records. “Stop And Listen” will be released digitally on December 5th and features a vintage, 60’s girl-group style complete with soaring background vocals, handclaps and a wall of sound. Her influences are immediately evident and the sound will take you back to a very influential time.

Her debut album, Belle Black, releases January 27th on Lanark Records and will further her vintage stylings as she breathes new life in a classic sound. The album is produced by Quentin Jones, a recent inductee into the Rockabilly Hall Of Fame. Jones has produced such critically acclaimed projects such as Linda Gail Lewis, Robert Gordon, The Rockats, Charlie Gracie, Reach Around Rodeo Clowns and many others.

The project was recorded in Lanark’s analog studio with no auto-tune and live musicians along with showcasing Kenley’s vocal and songwriting talents (she wrote or co-wrote 10 of the 12 songs on the album). Expect to hear everything you loved from the 50’s and 60’s girl-group sounds but from a fresh perspective. There’s a reason those songs from that era have lasted and that was the approach they took going into recording.
