South Carolina-based electro-pop/rock group Glass Mansions has been hard at work gearing up to unveil new music and a Spring tour ahead. Following their recently released single, “Matches” fans of the band have been thrilled to hear more from the trio. Today, Glass Mansions has answered that call, partnering exclusively with idobi Radio to premiere the official music video for their latest single, “NIGHTSWIMMING.” All about getting lost in the unknown and craving adventure, you can watch the electrifying new video over at idobi Radio here. This is what Glass Mansions had to say about “NIGHTSWIMMING:”
“Sometimes you feel like you’re just floating through life, or standing still in one place with your head barely above water. ‘NIGHTSWIMMING’ is about that nostalgic feeling to yearn for adventure and the unknown. When you imagine a quiet moment to yourself while floating on your back in a pool at night – the night sky seems so infinite – it’s hard to tell where it meets the water you’re in, what’s truly out there, but then there’s also this bittersweet excitement about not knowing what comes next. This song is about being lost in the unknown, embracing it, and finding strength in knowing that it’s okay to let yourself get lost”
Glass Mansions, led by the charismatic, sultry voice of Jayna Doyle, is an Electro-Pop/Rock band from South Carolina, influenced by modern and 90s pop, heavy synths and tight, dance-friendly rhythms. Their music is propulsive and elastic, with bubbly pop-melodies, lush electronic beds of sound and intelligent, intimate lyrics, creating a memorable sound that vibes like Shirley Manson going steady with The Neighbourhood. The trio of vocalist Jayna Doyle, keyboardist Blake Arambula, and guitarist Patrick Beardsley have been steadily winning over audiences across the country since day one. With 10+ tours under their belt, multiple appearances at festivals like SXSW, Warped Tour and Florida Music Festival, as well as a recently recorded Daytrotter session, the band recently debuted “Matches,” the first single from their highly anticipated sophomore EP. With the kinetic “Matches,” Glass Mansions returned to the studio with Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Cartel) who helmed the band’s first release, GOSSIP, and have combined the band’s signature pop flourishes with the darker, guitar-driven feel of the song — all while harnessing the energy the band’s live shows have come to be known for.
