”Something/Nothing” is the first single from the forthcoming album ”Find The Gap” by Hush Forever.
Behind the moniker Hush Forever you find Sebastian Lilja – a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from the city of Malmö in Sweden. His music style is organic indie pop based on a mixture of acoustic guitar, vintage synths, field recordings and peculiar electronica elements. The birds twittering in the song originate from the demo of the song, which was conceived in Sebastian’s garden.

Before launching his solo career, Sebastian Lilja released three albums from 2002-2007 as a member of the ambient-duo Flipside. The duo was approved into the premier league of chillout and ambient music, being one of the favourite bands of master DJ Ravin at Buddha Bar in Paris. Sebastian’s first EP as Hush Forever ”For Now” was released in 2011.
In 2013 Sebastian decided to take a break from the life in Malmö and moved to the countryside of northern Ibiza with his love and newborn baby. He built a studio on top of a hen house and started to record his full-length album. Drenched in the vibe of the magical island of Ibiza, he soon had expanded his universe and created what today is the album ”Find The Gap” about to be released in 2017. The full album is available for a pre-listening sneak peak. Let me know if you’d like to receive a link for this. I am curious to know, if you like the sound, and we have 3 more amazing singles off the album.
In September 2016 Hush Forever contributed to a song for the Swedish cinema success movie ”Jag Älskar Dig” (”I Love You”). Although the movie is a love comedy, the featured song ”Life is a Black Curtain” is used in a dark and moody scene. The song will also be on the fourthcoming album.
The video for this first single ”Something/Nothing” is made with the amazing Martin Ottosson, also from Malmö. After meeting for the first time at a local coffee shop in Malmö, Sebastian and Martin started talking about life, creativity, music and film. After just a few minutes they both knew that the music of Hush Forever and Martin’s pictures had to meet.
The music of Hush Forever is self written, self recorded, self produced, self funded and self released. We’re grateful for your love and support!
