RED ASTER SET TO RELEASE THEIR DEBUT SINGLE “SEVEN YEARS”
“Seven Years” Single Release – July 24, 2017
Rock duo Red Aster are set to release their first single ‘Seven Years’, off of an upcoming EP due out later this year . An unashamed rock track themed around the feelings of frustration and regret of time wasted. ‘Seven Years’ will be available globally on all major digital platforms, Monday, July 24, 2017.
In this single the Australian duo has given a short but bitter sweet ode to a relationship that has not fulfilled the dreams of forever love but has darkened any hope of romance. With it’s rock and grunge undertones, ghostly acoustics and emotional vocal, this will hit home for any that got more, or less than they bargained for in a relationship.
Guitarist David Blythe provides dark and crunchy guitar work under distorted vocals from Karen Rosenberg, to create an energetic and raw track pulling listeners into its grungy atmosphere. Red Aster have taken great care throughout recording to make sure the naked sound was left preserved.
Music has always fueled the friendship between the duo, drawing influence from artists similar to PJ Harvey and Adalita. The overall sound of this upcoming single, is distinct to most songs in the Alternative vein. “Seven Years” is an impressive debut in what will no doubt be an exciting and productive rest of the year for the band.
