Artist Introduction – Timi Alexander

Timi Alexander, a 23-year old Finnish singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist living in London has release a great new single The Ballad of a Keg Heart and it is sublime, this a piano based ballad is the musings of a human heart.  The Ballad of a Keg Heart is the first single off the upcoming EP ‘Timi Alexander’.

“The Ballad of a Keg Heart” is a mellow, poppy piano piece that dates back to 2016. I recorded the song by myself in my old apartment while still living in Finland but due to other projects taking up most of my time, I was able to properly finish the song a bit later. Funnily enough, the beginning of the piece was simply a piano sample I had recorded earlier as a future idea, and the rest of the song came quite effortlessly from that source.

I’m currently working on a video for the song, aiming to release it within two weeks. The album it is in will be released in September, and will feature generally rather harder and more electronic songs, “The Ballad of a Keg Heart” being the pacifying middle moment in the flow of the album. The rest of the album takes influence from the 90s alternative rock and hip hop production, a combination that will further be explored on the future releases.

We look forward the more from this artist, go to his Soundcloud and check often for more to come.
