Alternative Rock Singer / Songwriter Terry Guy’s Debut E.P “Bring On The Fire” out now.
Recording artist Terry Guy is from Peckham, south-east London. His musical journey began at the age of 14, while composing music on the piano, which led to a passion for song writing after completing a music diploma at Access-To-Music.
Bring on the Fire is a moving and powerful anthem of living and surviving through despair, loneliness and the daily reminder of being an eternal outsider. the anger to destroy everything you know is equally balanced by the desire to make a life full of love and nurturing, yet not knowing how to do either without loosing hat makes you unique and to some, wonderful. in an emotionally driven score, his lyrics pierce the should and drive the message home, for one to live a new life, the old life must fade away. to build one may have to destroy, if you try to keep both alive, both may die. the video has imagery the is both thrilling and hypnotic. a cinematic quality that should be examined.
Terry Guy is an impressive singer songwriter, who is able to captivate his audience. He fuses Indiepop, Industrial, Folk and Blues Rock, reminiscent of some of his musical influences such as PJ Harvey, Sinead O’ Connor, Hole, Tori Amos, Skunk Anansie and Chris Isaak. His distinctive voice with a dramatic emotive style echoes in his socially conscious lyrics about homophobia, domestic abuse, alcoholism, media press on women and the 2011 London Riots.
His debut E.P is an insight into Terry Guy’s own observations of society, within his unique lyricism .
