This self-directed music video is her true expression of the silver-lining concept of her album January.  Expressing in her own words, “I’ve traveled all over the world, and one day, I decided it was time for me to see the magic of the sky in Iceland.  I couldn’t fight it. I had to embrace what the world has to offer.  It was so beautiful that I had to go back and capture the essence of this song.  I’m glad I did.”

On the new album  January, TRISTN worked with a high-powered team of producers, including the lateTom Coyne (Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Adele), on “Now You Know,” Ted Jensen (Norah Jones, Muse, Green Day) on “Nothing to Say (Nothin’),” and Christian Wright (Abbey Road Studios UK) and  Steve Kupillas (Oak and Ash, Brand New) on the remainder of the songs . TRISTN also co-produced the album alongside these legends and tells the story of true events of her life on January. Throughout the writing/recording process, TRISTN came into her own as both a solo artist/songwriter and producer. Wonky Sensitive calls TRISTN’s sound an “anthemic and upbeat alternative pop/rock gem.”

NY-based, alternative songstress/music producer, TRISTN, releases the video, “Sky Wide Open,” from her upcoming album, January, due out September 8, 2017. This self-directed music video is her true expression of the silver-lining concept of her album January.  Expressing in her own words, “Sometimes I feel like the world is always closing in on me. Sky Wide Open was written as a reminder for all of us.  We have darker days, of course, but we also have days we make great memories.  When the sky opens wide, I hope we keep our eyes wide open.  I’ve traveled allover the world, and one day, I decided it was time for me to see the magic of the sky in Iceland.  I couldn’t fight it. I had to embrace what the world has to offer.  It was so beautiful that I had to go back and captur e the essence of this song.  I’m glad I did.”

Her first single “Nothing to Say (Nothin’)”, produced by Kupillas and TRISTN, and co-produced by Nick Carbone (drummer for Interscope / BadBoy artist French Montana) is a witty song and conversational piece about gossip, exposing those who talk about others but are too afraid to speak face to face. Sky Wide Open, her following single release, shows her optimistic personality.

Keep your eyes peeled for more music, videos and show announcements surrounding the release of the new album, January.
