Ellie has been performing and writing since she was just eight years old. After moving to London at 18 to pursue her dreams, Ellie began gigging all over London, writing with different artists and producers and she then set about creating her first EP. A couple of years later, as the EP was completed and with a ticket to New York booked for 6 weeks to gig and collaborate with the connections she had been working hard to make, disaster struck as she was diagnosed with Nodules and lost her voice.
Other areas of her life started to fall apart in turn and things spiralled out of control. Venturing down every avenue to find a solution to the problem with her voice, which turned out to be far more complicated than first thought, she eventually decided to spend half a year in South East Asia, volunteering to help others and find a new perspective on her life and some inspiration for her music where she continued to battle with her own mental health.
A couple years later and she is back with force.
The passion for creating but also connecting with and reaching people through her music refuses to be silenced. It’s a fire that won’t be put out and she it back to the scene with fresh songs and even more fight.
Ellie Hall is an exciting artist blending catchy pop hooks with unique twists and turns. With songs that tell tales of love, lust and the highs and lows of following your dreams, she creates a sound both accessible and individual to set her apart.
Ellie has a passion and energy both on and off the stage which is entirely infectious and has entertained audiences at well known venues and events across the country such as; The Indigo Stage at the O2, The Bedford in Balham supporting The Feeling, The Main Stage at Oceanfest amongst acts such as Ben Howard and Newton Faulkner, and she has recently just got back from New York where she was invited to perform at a Sofar Sounds gig in Soho.
Currently based in London, her uplifting, rich and yet sultry vocals, together with her songwriting style has been likened to a mix of Jessie Ware, Ed Sheeran and Lianna La Havas. Set to release two new singles before the year is out, one of which will be a music video release as well- turn this up.
