HOTEL SEX RELEASES NEW BDSM INSPIRED SINGLE AND VIDEO – “TIED UP AND TWISTED”

Electronic-pop duo HOTEL SEX burst onto the music scene when they debuted their first single “Explode” with Nakid Magazine three months ago.  Now they’re back with a brand new song and color-coated video “Tied Up and Twisted.”  This new release is just as weird and risqué as their first – it presents fans with an electrifying dance track, and a video full of sex, Satan, and a whole lot of creepy, kinky fun.

“We had such an amazing response to “Explode,” we knew we had to create something equally wild with this second song and video.  I’d known for a while that I wanted to write a song that had to do with bondage and the whole world of BDSM.  The first line we came up with actually ended up being the track name – “Tied up and Twisted” – I just really loved the visual connotation of those words.  The lyrics are pretty straightforward – they’re about bondage and enjoying that kind of sexy fun.  Sex positivity is so important to me, so I figured why not write a song that’s just totally up front with it.  Our whole vision for the video was this idea of pastel bondage – raunchy kink images, but portrayed in my particular style: lots of pink, stuffed animals, anime inspired clothes and makeup, etc.  We had such a blast shooting with director/photographer Danin Jacquay – she has a one-of-a-kind style that we incorporated into the video, and I love the way it all turned out.  And of course, there’s an element of creepiness mixed in with it all.  I aim to be the cutest creep ever.” –Augusta Gail

Mixing their influences of electronic pop, metal and dance music, HOTEL SEX is the new project of Los Angeles singer/visual artist Augusta Gail and songwriter/producer Linus Dotson. After years of working with a diverse roster of artists (everyone from Charlatans UK to Kool Keith), Dotson provided the musical foundation for Wise’s voice and lyrics, resulting in their first two singles “Explode” and “Tied up and Twisted.”  Wise has also developed a large and very engaged following on her personal social media platform (www.instagram.com/augustagail), and has a strong history of partnerships with well-known brands. For this newest video release, the duo teamed up with photographer and director Danin Jacquay, who brought her own unique style and vision to the project.
