Sean Duncan and The Bestiary of Human Civilization

New Album by Sean Duncan due out January 12, 2018 on Way Grimace Records

With great praise from Sean Duncan’s first album, Saturated Diluted, his sophomore full length gives us much of the same plus more.  In his new album, The Bestiary of Human Civilization, the maturity in song structure and theme has flourished.

One of Sean Duncan’s prior releases Exertion had a dreamy hypnotic tone and timber that seemed to decry that which man often misses and possibly leads to his own undoing.

The 45 minute, 10 track endeavor, has an underlying theme with his troubles and thoughts on organized religion. The songs are set with a wide variety of genre styles including, heavy guitar-indie rock, lush EDM backgrounds, and overall a mash up of all different emotions to keep the listener involved.

The first single, Redact, touches on the struggles with lyrics for the chorus being, “Because when God is dead, we can live again, we can thrive again, on everything we lost.”

For the artwork, Duncan has called on his longtime friend and renowned artist, Souther Salazar, who also did the art work for the Grammy winning album Fly Rasta by Ziggy Marley.

Before the album is released on January 12th, the first single Redact will be released on Jan 1st on Soundcloud, Bandcamp, and a video to go with it.  A limited run of physical albums will also be available.

Worthy Tracks suggested by the artist were Redact, The Rapture, The End is Near, Call Me are not only worthy of attention, but worth nomination for new artist accolades. The music is bright and dreamy as well as dark and spellbinding, this album has the potential to make some significant changes in how music is experienced, listened to and felt.

Look forward to this album, follow the artist’s social media, and if a pre-order on Bandcamp comes around, do not delay, I can only hope I can get a Vinyl copy if made available.
