All Have 1000 Plays Or LessThe Less The Plays The Higher The Chart Placing !
ACT NAME / TITLE / PLAYS ON PUBLICATION DAY
1 – Just Blankets – Like Velcro – Britain’s Least Used Stations (4)
We start this week with some classic C86 sounds. You won’t be hearing this on a Spotify playlist anytime soon.
2 – Los Twangueros – Theme From The Black Pudding (61)
Title of the week. What it all means, we haven’t the faintest. Harry Dean Stanton would’ve liked this.
3 – James Massiah – You A’int Got to Go Home (69)
Great new British poet , check more of his work on You Tube. The man knows his cadence.
4 – Analogue Electronic Whatever – Frozen Milk 77 (119)
Nostalgia… beautifully realized by AEW. If you are a fan of early Mute, punk rock and posh people banging on about those dreadful punkers!
5 – Tica Douglas – My Friend’s Exes (120)
Released last May this has only just reached our BOP ears. Well worth the wait. It’s always great to hear an artist recall the best of Cat Power simply because they aren’t attempting to recall the best of Cat Power.
6 – BMD Co – Buy Muy Drugs (162)
Need we say more.
7 – Patsy – Nazis Are So Plain (269)
We believe the more songs there are , that call Nazis out, makes the world just a touch better.
8 – Ceramic Hobs – This Sore & Broken Blackpool Legacy (342)
This is from the dark distant days of 2016. It’s sort of TG meet Fat Whites at a off kilter punk rock disco.. love it.
9 – EMA – I Wanna Destroy (448)
Who said destruction couldn’t be attractive.
10 – Total Control – Future Creme (846)
Loving this. Sounds like one of those, one off, massive 90’s global hits made by some dude in a bedroom. Unfortunately, as much as we adore it , and we do. We know that in the future days of now this will stay buried in the Spotify dungeons until the robots take over and adopt it as their Friday night fave.
