Live / Mimed Performance Of The Week
1 The Avocado Commissioners – The EP Does Not Matter (37)
Not sure I’ll be rushing out to buy the ep, but its name and their band moniker deserve inclusion.
2 The Cold Spells – Where Were You (52)
Said we’d get them into another chart. Am falling in love with this new UK band.
3 BB Eye – Cops With Indigestion (64)
“How Come The City Never Sleeps….At Night.” They even managed to get some snoring in. Not sure what it’s all about?
4 The Suburban Homes – Anxiety Attack (78)
The mighty Suburban Homes are back and they’re having an anxiety attack.
5 Secret Rave – Untitled 02 (88)
Perfect 91/92 like 3am raver. Those old school washes! Great to see Moby’s Go is still spawning great great great grandchildren.
6 Tonite – London (96)
If it’s got Ginsberg, it’s in, that simple. Pretty cool tune.
7 Skiftande Enheter – Mordande Rutin / Jag Har Fatt Nog (128)
And another one from these amazing Swedes on Market Sq records. I want to see this band so badly.
8 Analog Electronic Whatever – Surf Radio (130)
Great stuff, old school electronic pop, vintage surf movie vid and robo- buggles surf vocals.
9 Dope – Environmental Studies Cassette (516)
Whereupon we get a 40 odd minutes of Copey sounding somewhat like Bowie from time to time! + all the usual Krautrock stylings. Genius as always.
10) Workhorse – Alone (553)
Released August last year from their debut Cassette. It’s great has a bit of a Throwing Muses feel about it. Want to hear more from this lot.
