Lykos, visionary artist from Pawtucket, Rhode Island started recording music in 2012 and has years of writing his music before that. His song, entitled What Competition? Sparks the imagination.
“My song writing is heavily inspired from horror a movie, that’s the vibe I’m trying to create every time I write a song. My music is very werewolf-themed due to an obsession I have with folklore. My goal as an artist is just to inspire people of all ages to just be yourself, which is my main focus and message I try to promote.”
“I write the songs without anyone’s approval, at the end of the day it’s my music and no one can tell me how to do it. I’m really big on doing everything on my own. I strive to perfect my craft to a point I say I taught myself everything I know. It’s alright to take advice from other individuals but it’s important to stay ground to who you are. The reason I am who I am today is because of this attitude. People are going to judge whether you’re doing good or bad so why bother trying to be someone you’re not? By the time people are done listening to my music, I hope to inspire them to stop trying to benefit others and just be happy. A dream of mine is to create a platform big enough to spread this message to the world through creativity. “
Lykos indeed creates unique style of prose, which, if we could title, would call it “Horror Hip-Hop” or possibly “Death Rap”, either way, check it out, he is doing something great.
