JAH WOBBLE NEW ALBUM – ‘DREAM WORLD’
JAH WOBBLE NEW ALBUM – ‘DREAM WORLD’ HAS RELEASE DATE – AUGUST 3RD 2018
Jah Wobble is set to release a new solo album on his own eponymously titled label on the 3rd of August 2018.
‘Dream World’ features nine brand new tracks that are in part inspired by Frances Truffaut, the sights and sounds of London, Brighton, and Manchester and an unexpected visit the legendary bass player made to the Stepping Hill hospital in Stockport.
Released on limited edition vinyl, CD and available digitally, this is an album that effortlessly brings together all the craft and expertise that is synonymous with a man that’s enjoyed a musical career that spans over forty years. A stunning collection of mainly instrumental compositions, the tracks here encompass funk, classical and jazz to reggae and an electronic sound that recalls the post punk sparseness of ‘Metal Box’.
Recorded over the last few months in his home studio, this is very much a solo recording, although Wobble does enlist the help of his Invaders of the Heart keyboard player George King on three tracks; ‘L’autoroute Sans Fin’, ‘Havana’ and ‘Dream World’.
Jah Wobble and The Invaders Of The Heart line up of Marc Layton-Bennett (percussion & drums), George King (keyboards), Sean Corby (trumpet & flugelhorn) and Martin Chung (guitar) will continue to play live dates and festival shows during the Summer that he promises will be “a heady trip through four decades of music”.
LIVE TOUR DATES:
- JUN 24TH THE HALF MOON, PUTNEY, LONDON SW15
- AUG 02ND REBELLION FESTIVAL, WINTER GARDENS, BLACKPOOL
- AUG 09TH BOOM TOWN FAIR, WINCHESTER
