1 Sir Robert Orange Peel – Arghhh!!! (42)

Sir Robert goes acieeed !

2 Mehmet Aslan – Ghost Station (71)

Remember the first time you heard Burial, well, this does the same for us. Astoundingly beautiful.

3 Luke Vibe – Jungle Hitler (106)

Vibert updates jungle on this new 12. Sounding very good indeed.

4 The Cool Greenhouse – Pets (219)

Great new UK band…lazy descriptor would be post punky LCD stuff but this is so much better than that. Going to be one of our favourite new bands of 2018.
5  Three Dimensional Tanx – Backseat Driver (224)

The great thing about the UK is that whatever year in whatever month the country just keeps churning out wonderful little rock pocket nuggets like this. Yes they could be Supergrass but who cares. Great stuff

6  Jay Glass Dubs – The Sweetest Dub (295)

Sade deconstructed dub style and we’re in love.
7  Charged – Indian Gangsta ep (363)

Another one thanks to the wonderful curating of  Harakiri Diat on YT.  Cool Mumbai infused Prodigy vibes. Is it just us but we’re hearing a lot of cool  D’n’B patterns again .

8 Cut Worms  – Mad About You (443)

Cheery chamber pop, hum along, we did.

9  Rabbit Island – Deep In The Big  (507)

Rabbit Island out of Perth is essentially one person, Amber Fresh. And in our books she is  the most  criminally ignored songwriter in Australia. She should be picked up by Universal and be heard all over the world. Her vision, is, in our books,  as singular, as say Prince or PJ Harvey. Old whathisname from Tame Impala should have her  on his next album. This is her new one and it’s as achingly beautiful as anything she’s done..

10) Black Moth Super Rainbow –  Panic Blooms  (579)

We featured BMSR last week, here’s another one from the new album that sets us on fire again.

Because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know.

We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know.

But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don’t know we don’t know.
