Puerto Rico’s power grid was just turned back on – almost a year after it was hit by the first of two hurricanes that devastated the island. To this day, the residents of Puerto Rico still live without safe infrastructure and housing, as well as a lack of reliable access to the services needed to help them rebuild their livelihoods. That’s why members of the Seattle scene and alternative hip-hop artist Sango are teaming up to raise awareness and funds for the people of Puerto Rico on Thursday August 2nd at Fred Wildlife Refuge, to be distributed through the non-profit B Strong. By putting funds and supplies into the hands of the people rebuilding their country, we hope to enact change by directly reaching out to individual Puerto Ricans.
