Richard Lynch: A Man Of Few Words Finds His Place Among Jones, Strait And Whitley

richard lynch 1Traditional country artist Richard Lynch hails from a small town in Ohio, but his career is looking larger than life these days.  With several chart-topping singles, including duets with Grammy winning bluegrass legend, Rhonda Vincent and country star, Ronnie McDowell; a TV and Radio show, “Traditionally Lynch;” legions of fans, and his Love Tattoo Foundation for veterans, Richard is poised to be today’s version of yesterday’s country crooners like George Jones, Keith Whitley and the King, George Strait.  Lynch took time out from his extremely busy schedule, to share a few words about his life, career and what’s next for his music.

Indie Pulse Music: Thank you so much for taking the time, Richard.  I know you’re a very busy guy.  Can you tell us about life in Waynesville, OH?

Richard Lynch: Well, I have spent my entire life as an American farmer and barn builder in addition to performing country music around the country.

IPM: What drew you to your passion for music?

RL: Most definitely,my Dad Woody. He was an amazing singer and guitar player who played all around the are and with some big country music names.

IPM: How would you describe your country sound?

RL: I guess it is very traditional. I have been told it is similar to (George) Strait which is a huge honor.

richardlynchheader2IPM: Which artists have had the biggest influence on Richard Lynch?

RL: Of course my Dad, (George) Jones, (Keith) Whitley, Strait, (Waylon) Jennings, and the legends of traditional country.

IPM: Where do you find great songs?

RL: Well I do some writing and have had good luck with my songs. I am blessed though to have friends who are major writers and they often pitch some incredible songs to me.

IPM: Tell us about the recording process for your album, “Mending Fences.”

RL: I guess we went through about a 100 songs to get the album. It was a long process, but I think the results were terrific. We had a great pair of producers, Edgel Groves Sr & Randall Griffith and an incredible engineer in Shea Henley.

IPM: How do you hope to connect with your fans through your songs?

RL: I always pick songs that touch me as a country boy. I know that if the lyrics fit my life, or that of someone I know, the fans will relate as well.

IPM: What big plans are coming for Richard Lynch?

RL: Well we are building a strong audience for our TV and radio shows. Most likely we will record a new album and of course keep our tour schedule filled up.
