Single Review: Ed Roman “Red Omen”
I had to admit, when I saw pictures of Ed Roman, I couldn’t believe that was him. His voice on the title track of his latest album, “Red Omen,” sounds quite youthful, and the verbosity reminded me of very early Springsteen, perhaps a hint of “Rosalita”. I wouldn’t know how to sing along to this song (and that is NOT a bad thing!) but I’m quite sure that its down-to-earth feeling makes him the perfect intimate-venue performer. Plus, it’s like the perfect song to listen to, when you have a beer at home. Both “Red Omen” and previous single release, “I Am Love,” are a shot of energy from a man who proves that age is only a number. Once again, we’re talking about personality and the timeless vibe here.
