Americana Band Broken Bones Matilda to release new single Midnight Creeper
English band Broken Bones Matilda, will release their new Americana inspired single Midnight Creeper on 31st August.
Midnight Creeper is a beautifully melodic tune, written primarily with an acoustic guitar, about being stuck in a post-apocalyptic dream. A woman lost in limbo, uncertain and seeking somewhere new is rescued and taken “over the hill to paradise”. The lyrics are filled with hope and desperation, drawing influence from Sci Fi novels, creating a dark and mysterious element to the song.
Broken Bones Matilda recorded Midnight Creeper in 2 locations across London, with the help of producer Tom Fuller and Grammy Award winning engineer Matthew Lawrence. It was part recorded at Miloco Studios and finished at Tom’s studio at Tileyard.
The band is made up of 2 childhood friends from the West Country with a shared love for Americana music, whilst keeping their roots deeply in the English Countryside. Their raspy voices and enchanting harmonies make for an innocently dark sound that could be compared to the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Angus and Julia Stone.
Broken Bones Matilda are no strangers to the live music scene having performed all across the country, most recently at Edinburghs Fringe Festival. Their latest live reviewer describes them as storytellers, comparing them to Nick Cave and Neil Young as well as commenting on their impressive ability to captivate a diverse audience.
Midnight Creeper will be released onto all major digital platforms on 31st August and will come alongside a music video directed by Sanja Marusic.
