Drawing influence from the likes of Johnny Cash and Paul Kelly, Alt Country artist Clint Wilson delivers a heartfelt and beguiling experience with his newest album release Dark Water.
Driven by a wish to transpose the context surrounding real life into his music, Dark Water is injected with a feeling of authenticity that in turn makes it easily relatable. Whilst touching on issues and questions that many find themselves mulling over, Clint also delivers equally beguiling music with a fictional and less than mainstream narrative. This can be said of his lead single ‘The River Spoke To Me’, which tells a tale of lost youth.
Backed by the superlative production work of Callum Barter, Dark Water provides a series of distinct conversational stories whilst remaining a captivating listening experience. Filled with meandering vocal lines, soft blues oriented acoustic guitar layered over strong back beat grooves Clint Wilson shows off his versatility and songwriting ability.
Lead single ‘The River Spoke To Me’ was co written with Kelly Brouhaha and proves both the depth of Wilson’s and the unique manner of his delivery. Dark Water is set to release on the 3rd of October 2018 and will be available across a number of platforms.
