DYAN TAI Releases New Video ‘SMOOTHIE’

Malaysian born singer songwriter Dyan Tai utilises his extensive and varied skill set in delivering a composite listening experience throughout his newest single Smoothie from the EP Emancipated.

Over the course of the last decade Dyan Tai has continued to Make a name for himself within the local music scene by writing and producing an array of music and even deploying his entrepreneurial streak by starting his own radio show.

The 4 track EP Emancipated is a beguiling and engaging experience for any listener. Touching on all important issues surrounding masculinity, body image and gender politics, Emancipation solidifies itself not just as an EP that is sonically substantial but as a body of work that is entirely relevant in today’s current climate. The colourful 80’s oriented video for the single ‘Smoothie’ showcases Dyan’s versatility towards branding his music, it competes at a professional level with consumate film and production work whilst remaining fun and undiluted, full of quirky fonts, dancers and even Dyan performing himself.

Motivated by the abundance of talent within the Sydney Queer Scene, Dyan created the DTF Club (Dyan Tai’s Friends Club) as a new platform for emerging queer artists to share their story and body of work on Australia’s first and only queer radio station JOY94.9.

Backed by consummate production work, Dyan Tai delivers catchy and convivial vocal lines whilst also showing off an impressive range. With a professional video for his single ‘Smoothie’, 4 complete and individually composite tracks on his EP and a social media presence that shows no signs of slowing, Dyan is set to make an impact. Emancipated is set to release on the 3rd of September 2018 and will be available across a number of major platforms.
