Indie Pulse Music: Tell us about the music scene in Houston, TX?
Heather Whitney: Well I’m actually a couple hours towards Louisiana in a small town called Newton TX, but Houston? Its big, has lots of traffic and once you get downtown you aren’t coming out of there. Lol even the GPS can’t get you out.
IPM: Who are you listening to these days?
HW: These Days I’m listening to a lot of Cody Johnson and Luke Combs.
IPM: If you could tour with one artist, opening shows, whom would that be?
HW: That would absolutely have to be Miranda Lambert.
IPM: Why is “Moving On” an important music release? Why should new
listeners give it a chance?
HW: The album is solid, Has heartbreak but its still fun and upbeat and its new. You should always try everything, once right?
IPM: If you could perform in your dream venue, where would that be, and
why?
HW: My dream venue would be the Grand Ole Opry. I think everyone wants to play there at least once.
IPM: Your favorite song on your album is? Why is that?
HW: I love them all but my favorite is “Moving on Song”. I’m a little biased I suppose. Very first song I wrote so its just special to me.

HW: I draw inspiration from the things I’ve been through, the people I meet, the places I’ve been and want to be some day.
IPM: Who is your dream collaboration? and why?
HW: My dream Collab as a songwriter would be with Dean Dillion. He has so many hits under his belt. Id love to pick his brain apart. Now as a performer? Miranda or Loretta, I really look up to both.
IPM: Where do you discover new music?
HW: Spotify, but my handsome significant other has quite the talent at finding hidden treasures and new music. I wish I had his knowledge with music. He quizzes me all the time.
IPM: Any final thoughts, shout outs, lessons for our readers?
HW: Lesson? Remember that no matter how crappy life gets its always worth living.
