Rotten Mind

’Fading Into Oblivion’ was just like the debut album ”I’m Alone Even With You” recorded by Mattias Kennhed at the Communichaos Media Clay Station. The new album gives you everything you expected from Rotten Mind, and so much more. It´s a combination of the band’s debut ”I’m Alone Even With You” and their second same titled album. It’s an explosion of sounds from the post-punk and garage rock world. Rotten Mind can be found somewhere in a modernized 80´s versatility between UK-acts as The Vibrators, The Adverts, and US-bands as Christian Death and T.S.O.L. It´s a band that at the same time perhaps is best to set side by side with contemporary acts as Crusades, Iceage, Radioactivty, Metz or High Tension Wires.

Rotten Mind has been a stand out Swedish act that has been touring constantly. Since the start in 2015, they have been touring numerous times in Europe, as well as Australia, UK, and Sweden. There is no doubt that this band is full of energy and intensity, and it shows in their live shows. As always they mix post-punk, garage rock and power pop perfectly and it has been recognized in music magazines such as NME, Vice, Gaffa, and Hymn.

Bio Rotten Mind: There is a bleak loner persona over Rotten Mind. A feeling about outgrowing and exceeding in both integrity and elegance. An impression that dwells in the shadows and embraces the nightfall. It´s there somewhere in a modernized 80´s versatility between UK-acts as The Vibrators, The Adverts and US-bands as Christian Death and T.S.O.L that we will find the dark and energetic Swedes in Rotten Mind. A band that at the same time perhaps is best to be placed side by side with contemporary acts as Crusades, Iceage, Radioactivty, Metz or High Tension Wires.

Rotten Mind started in 2015 and recorded their debut album ’Im Alone Even With You’ after just three months. The band got featured in both Noisey and NME before the release. Since then the band has tried to stay at the roads as much as possible. Most countries in Europe have been visited and the band has also toured Australia. The band has since then recorded and released a darker and more introvert same-titled second album, released by Lövely Records in 2017. During fall 2018, the band returns with their third album ’Fading Into Oblivion’. Recorded and produced by Lars Kennhed at Communichaos the third album holds both the raw punk vibes from the band’s debut as well as a darker and more new wave feeling. The band have been endlessly touring and have turned into one of the best live acts from Sweden, holding a captivating presence that leaves no one unaffected.
