Artist Spotlight: ANNIELLE
SWEDISH POP-FOLK SINGER/SONGWRITER ANNIELLE SET TO RELEASE NEW EP ‘TBT 2012 PT.1‘
Following a string of national radio successes in her homeland of Sweden, emerging pop-folk songwriter Annielle is poised for wider approval as she releases her 4-track EP TBT 2012 Pt.1 on 26th October 2018, as the first in a planned 3-part series of records due in the coming year.
Growing up in a small town in southern Sweden, Annielle began crafting her own brand of Americana-tinged pop-folk at a young age, inspired by the expressive stylings of the likes of Björk, Sting and Norah Jones. Annielle found recognition in 2010 when her breakthrough single ‘Summer Love’ received heavy rotation in Sweden propelling her into a period of acclaim which included winning the Svensktoppen Nästa radio chart competition in 2011, and tours of Sweden, Norway, and the US.
It was during this time that Annielle retreated to Nashville, Tennessee to craft 18 tracks with producer Jeremy Hunter, whose past work includes records by Taylor Swift and Jill Scott.
Finally ready to debut her work, TBT 2012 Pt.1 charts Annielle’s emergence from a dark spell in her life, combining positive and melancholy vibes with stripped-back acoustic textures on tracks ‘We’re Butterflies’, ‘Come Run’, and ‘Never Winter’.
The EP also includes a cover of H.E.A.T.’s ‘1000 Miles’, transforming the track from a heavy-hitting hard rock into a contemplative acoustic song.
Annielle will support TBT 2012 Pt.1 with a string of shows in Sweden this Fall/Autumn, before embarking on a solo tour in Spring/Summer 2019, as well a string of dates with her girl group Spring City. More information about Annielle, including upcoming dates, can be found on her website and across her social media.
