A throwback colored by flourishes of modulated synths and effects, the song burst out the gate with the rumbling sounds of the iconic 80’s Jupiter-8 as the vocals hit the listener right away. The singer’s voice is a lite breeze over fuzzed out guitars and bass, but it’s the steady electronic like beat that keeps the songs pulse urging ahead. The chorus bodes harmonies that are reminiscent of the Beach Boys but “Double Vision” likens comparisons to Phoenix, with its ability to be a tightly constructed pop song with unique textures and equally interesting production.

About Graduation/Adam Piddington
From touring in bands that idolized Refused and At the Drive In to mimicking the sounds of the shoegaze noise aficionados of the 90’s, Adam Piddington has always embodied the sounds of his idols.
His band Daysleeper gave off Sonic Youth vibes (album was mixed by Alex Newport who also produced At the Drive In’s In/Casino/Out”) while Lanterns generated loud indie rock similar to the Smashing Pumpkins. But not until recently, after years in his home studio, has Adam stumbled upon what is Graduation, an amalgamation of all his influences.
