The heart and soul of Blue By Nature is Karen Lawrence – a dynamic singer, prolific songwriter, and charismatic performer with a spirited stage presence.  In addition to lead vocal and writing credits on Jeff Beck’s Epic/Legacy release “Beckology” and background credits on releases by Aerosmith, Slash, and Mark Farner, Lawrence’s most notable coup was composing “Prisoner”, the theme song for the film “The Eyes of Laura Mars”. The song was immortalized by Barbra Streisand and was included on her Greatest Hits II album which was over 4 times platinum. The song has been identified in songbooks as one of the one hundred best love songs and has recently been recorded by renowned blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, released on his latest CD entitled “Dust Bowl“.
