Hailing from Kenosha, WI, Saint Tragedy formed their unique hard rock sound in 2008. Their lineup features Wayne Wiginton (vocals), Matt Brudniewicz (guitar), Eric Serbedzija (bass), and Jason Scuffham (drums). In the years they have been together they have had the chance to develop their sound and open for many national bands to expand their audience.

Best classified as a modern day hard rock band with a bit of an old school sound thrown into the mix, Saint Tragedy has definitely been evolving through its years on the scene, and continues to attract people of all ages. This group of individuals come together to bring you their upmost heartfelt raw talent and honesty within their music.

When speaking with Wayne Wiginton, we got some insight into their creative talents and what they are doing musically.

IPM:  What inspired you to write music like you do

I grew up listening to a lot of oldies & soul music, and as I got older I got into more of the modern rock era. So that’s kind of where my musical background of writing comes out.

IPM: What are or were some of the challenges for you in producing or performing while keeping true to your vision of your music.

Starting out for me was mainly shaking the stage fright and finding my comfort zone. Nowadays it’s all about getting out on that stage and letting your voice be heard. Don’t be afraid to show off what you’ve worked so hard on.

IPM: Tell us about some of your recent performances

We just recently had the honor in opening for John 5 of Rob Zombie and it was definitely an unforgettable night. The crowd was eating it up, and the best feeling is the constant energy you get from feeding off the crowd. At the end of the show I was handing out our set lists because everyone in the front row was just reaching out for them.

IPM: Any Albums coming out soon or shows you are looking to promote

We plan on hitting the studio again really soon, and are looking to push for a full length. We’ll be releasing a new single first though.

As for shows we only have three left for the remainder of 2018.

  • 8th – Penny Road Pub. Barrington, IL
  • 15th – The Back Bar. Janesville, WI
  • 22nd – LiveWire Lounge. Chicago, IL

IPM: Where do you see your music going, where would you like to be in the near future, goals, dreams and passions?

I’d like to see our music hit as many airwaves as possible including our own area which seems to be a struggle. The future is bright for us, our only way is up, we’re under new management and it’s going be a good year for 2019, I’d say.

IPM: What would you like our readers to know about you, Why do you think that they would enjoy your music / performances

I want your readers to know that we don’t sugar coat anything in our music. What we have to say is real, true stories, triumph and struggles.

When we hit the stage it’s a whole different world for us. You put your game face on and you are there to put on the best show you can.

IPM:  Where can our readers find your music?

You can find our EP “Prolonging the Agony” on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify & Amazon
