Jason Robert Releases New Video for John the Revelator

Jason Robert covers the the 1926 Blind Willie Johnson classic, “John the Revelator.”  This is the second video from the upcoming album Death of Stone Stanley, due out January 10, 2019.

In this video, Jason Robert brings his powerful interpretation of this classic tracks majesty and yet also breaths new life into it, making it hypnotic and piercing to the soul and mesmerizes the listener, it is a sublime and haunting piece of music, and performed in a way that gives true respect to the original master and this new generation of Mudstomp fans.

John the Revelator is the latest video release and cover for Mudstomp blues rock artist, Jason Robert.  Shot on location at Christ Park (Joshua Tree, Ca), Robert provides his own arrangement and interpretation of the delta blues gospel classic.  Kayla Von Der Heide’s amazing videography skills are on display in this dark and auspicious rendition.

The black and white video was shot in June 2018.
