A departure from creator Dan Rawlins folk routes, “Scutty” is an experimental music project inspired by, and self-recorded in South East London, finished off and mixed by Robin Waters in Melbourne and mastered by Will Bowden, a Grammy award winner for his work on GOTYE.

A mix of genres have majorly influenced Scutty’s sound, from the beats of Electronic to the hard hitting power of Rock. The result is a merge between LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip and Confidence Man.

Scutty moved to London back in the Winter of last year. Knowing nobody, he drove all of his passion into music. ‘Replaced’ is heavily inspired by his move away from Melbourne as well as his transition from acoustic to electric. Since then his music has traveled back across the globe to where he currently resides in the depths of Tasmania.

Street slang from the streets of South East London inspired the name Scutty, a word that reflects the innovative equipment and techniques used to create the sounds in Replaced Part 1.

Replaced Part 1 is available NOW on all major digital platforms.
