FEMALE POWER DUO, THE SPEAR SHAKERS, NOW BOOKING 2019 AND BEYOND; BAND RECEIVING HIGH MEDIA PRAISE

Cincinnati-based ‘Female Power Duo’  The Spear Shakers (guitarist/vocalist Kelly Richey; percussionist Sherri McGee) has received high media praise since forming in late 2018.

Kelly Richey, dubbed “Queen of the Road Warriors” by WHAS-TV Channel 11 in Louisville, has twenty-five years of touring and sixteen albums on her lengthy resume, including a stint as lead guitarist on Stealin Horses, a popular Kentucky-based rock group once signed to Arista Records. Drummer Sherri McGee is an in-demand session musician who previously was a member of successful rock group Velvet Elvis on Enigma Records.

Richey was recently profiled on Blues Highway, whose Host, Garry Goldsmith, wrote, “Kelly Richey may be the hardest-working recording artist in the business. She has a natural Blues voice that she pairs with a Rock ‘n’ Roll soul.  With those two components firmly rooted in Americana, she has developed a unique style.  She has a sensibility about her approach to music, and prides herself in being independent in producing her work.  All of this together is a pleasurable listening experience that one can not get enough of.
