The Frost Duo is a multi-genre group that is blunt to spark your curiosity with their multi genre style.
The intoxicating tune “Not Your Time” was released Friday March 1st, 2019
The Frost Duo is comprised of members Christian Gratz and LeahBeth Evans. Based out of Pennsylvania, the two performs an array of genres on multiple instruments and multiple venues throughout the tri state and surrounding areas. Whichever type of music you love, you are bound to find some level of pleasure from a performance by the talented recording artists. Between their ear catching renditions of songs you may know, to intriguing originals that you can’t forget. They will sooth you with a pleasing voice, brilliant lyrics, sweet sounds of Nord Keyboards and crisp tones of the acoustic guitar.
The Frost Duo is a piano and acoustic based team. LeahBeth is the lead vocalist and a songwriter. Christian Gratz is guitarist, songwriter and pianist. The multi-genre duo came together back in 2015 to form The Frost, and the indie specialists have brought plenty of vibes in their releases over the last few years. Hailing from the United States, the pair have a strong music past, which shows through their music. Gratz became mostly known as the guitarist for popular big band “Daddy O and the Sax Maniacs” whom president Bill Clinton coined as his “favourite band of all time.” LeahBeth Evans is at the forefront with her infectious vocals flooding the music scene with joy and intimate music. LeahBeth, started her career singing throughout Scranton PA with jazz bands. She was a featured artist for The 8th Annual Scranton Jazz Festival. Evans taught herself how to sing in the style of pop and rock and joined a rock band in 2016 called Cold Steel Rail.
The duo write in a variety styles to include pop, rock, Americana, soft/yaht, southern branches, and country (alternative and outlaw) music. LeahBeth asserts; “We personally feel all our music overall could be close to a mixture of Fleetwood Mac, Tom waits, Elton John, America, and Led Zeppelin.”
The Frost Duo resist the temptation to bow to quick, attention-grabbing gimmicks, instead opting to infiltrate their songs with flavors that fill both the senses and intellect with solid emotion and truthful engagement.

While learning about this new offering of music, we found that “Not Your Time” is a suicide awareness song. “The song is about a man who is down on his luck and contemplating suicide. Throughout the song he finds himself having a conversation with God and in the end he decides not to commit suicide. I hope if you endured the loss of someone to suicide this song brings some light into your life, and if you ever had ideations, you’re not alone and you are loved and people are listening. I have a bachelors in psychology and my last year of college, I learned approximately 3-4K people commit suicide EVERY DAY. and that number is climbing”. -LeahBeth Evans
The Frost Duo , truly accomplished artists have earned the accolades and respect of the music community, winning Citizens Voice “Readers Voice Award 2018” best local band, The Readers choice awards, Best cover band, Best duo, Best original band, 2018 Electric City Music Conference/Steamtown Music Award and Duo Of The Year. Thy have also been recognized as 2017 ECMC nominees and 2018 Josie Music Award nominees.
