IndiePulse Artist Spotlight: Too Much Saturn
Too Much Saturn plays songs that are an original mix of melody and hooks consisting of one part fun a dash of indie spirit and two parts pop sensibility – all shaken not stirred!
Too Much Saturn is power pop rock band which plays what might be best described as Midwest Indie Power Pop. An original mix of melody and hooks consisting of one part indie spirit and two parts pop sensibility – all shaken not stirred! Memorable, clever and accessible original songs and a few select covers done our way. Served up with soaring harmonies, big drums, 12 string bass, swirling keyboards and a liberal mix of crunchy, ambient and jangly guitars.
The latest offering from this fun loving group of talented artists is the track “Blame“, now available on Bandcamp and turning heads… and ears to music with a message.
In commentary, the band had this to say about the track: “The Blame Game is certainly not a new story or concept and can be applied to many types of relationships. Written from the perspective of a character in a relationship who feels they are often unfairly blamed for many of the troubles in the relationship. However, the main character also acknowledges they may also be playing… the Blame Game”
In Review: “Blame” has a very traditional “Rock & Roll” sound, and definitely pays homage and tribute to the genre, with a little surf punk sound but also has a distinctive maturity to it, Lyrically the song is so easy to listen to and even easier to enjoy, with great sounding melodies, chorus and verse in perfect time, just a bold sound for a music scene that so desperately needs Too Much Saturn, a group that makes the scene worth watching and being a part of.
“Blame” was Recorded at Rax Trax Studios Chicago with award-winning engineers
Rick Barnes and Andy Schumacher on the board, the song is amazing, backed up with extraordinary skill in writing and performing.
