Artist Spotlight: Veronica Sidwell
Veronica Sidwell from Atlanta, GA, is an open and very empowered member of the human Race, and is Trans, but, I personally feel that the comment “Trans” is not the important factor here, I only mention it as to the artist bring it up from the start “ in case there is any confusion as to why the vocals sound masculine” in quote “for those who are wondering “wait, who is the guy singer tho?”
IndiePulse has interviewed and brought to light the work of other Trans Artists and this is just another story of an artist that is reaching for the stars as they wish to be, and wish to thrive.
The track “Hey Louie”, from her debut album on Bandcamp “l’appel du vide“, is a fun and frolicking work of art, and from a music standpoint is rather life affirming,, yes, her voice may not be feminine sounding, but, and this is just an opinion statement, I don’t know where in her life’s path she is in when this was recorded… life can take you in a direction you never dreamed, sometimes good, sometimes wildly tangent. And like the song sounds, it is a wild ride not to be missed.
Other tracks, like “Welcome Mat”, “Disappointed” and “Never Mourn The Ruling Class” are deep, dark and somewhat modern pop punk expressions, so not only is she facing a whole new life, she is opening up very political impressions in her music, no fear at all!
“l’appel du vide”, is a fantastic free for all and we want you to seek out and support Veronica Sidwell on her career as a new world woman and a modern artist in the Indie Scene.
We hope to bring you more on her and her work, and wish she find the life she so much deserves to enjoy.
Much Love !
Thanks so much for the kind words!
