Review: Electric Radio Kings PURRR by Addison Coleman

Just released is the sonically audacious album, “Purrr”, via Grand Vision Records, by genre bending, captivating faction, “Electric Radio Kings.” Driven by rock n roll passion, and inspired by bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Cheap Trick and Foo Fighters, the relatively new Vegas based band is creating a massive buzz.

Described as a modern day Jim Morrison, lead vocalist Paul Christiana has compelling and powerful voice, and a flair for songwriting. Stacey Blades formally guitarist for the LA Guns, joins Christiana with a songwriting chemistry taking their creativity to another level. The two were the last artists to record with legendary producer Andy Johns who was known for working with bands including Rolling Stones, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin. Alongside Paul and Stacey is LA guitarist Keith Horne, bassist Del Cheetah and former A&M artist Johnny Rude on the drums. Together they make songs that are meaningful and radio friendly, with messages, harmonies and sonic bliss.

“Purrr” is a superb 9 track record which was unveiled only 2 weeks ago but has already made an impact nationally. With singles like “Back to Black”, “Jack Black Flower”, and “Sympathy for Me”, each a hit in its own right and each accompanied by a video worth a film review, this is an essential purchase. The songwriting team of Christiana and Blades without a doubt will go down in history. The tracks are vibrant and exciting, none an album filler. Sizzling and tantalizing the band performs flawlessly.

Electric Radio Kings have already charted on Billboard, mainstream music at # 35. They have appeared on Alice Cooper’s radio show and has been heavily supported by him. This band is well on its way to superstardom!
